Some things are easier to understand when you stand inside them.
Spend time inside SINA Communities in Uganda. Meet the people running them. Sit in on the work. See how decisions are made, how roles are held, how social enterprises grow and what happens when things do not go according to plan.
We do not invite you to look at a project. We invite you inside SINA!
Three ways to come inside
UNLEARN

See SINA from different angles. Question what you thought you knew.
Travel through different SINA Communities in Uganda, including two refugee settlements. Each Community is different. Different people. Different pressures. Different social enterprises. Different local realities but but one shared SINA Framework for how responsibility, learning and social entrepreneurship are lived.
You meet people from difficult backgrounds in roles that challenge familiar assumptions about who leads, who decides, who creates jobs and who gets called an expert.
The journey also takes you through Uganda itself. Between the Community visits, we spend time at Murchison Falls National Park, on the Nile and Gorilla tracking can be added as an optional extension at the end of the journey.
UNLEARN is a unique experience for questioning assumptions about aid, education, expertise, entrepreneurship and who gets trusted with responsibility.
DEEP DIVE

Spend more time inside fewer SINA Communities, including one in a refugee settlement.
The heart of the journey is SINA Mpigi, the birthplace of SINA and its main Community. You stay longer, spend more time with the people holding roles, follow how the Community works day to day and get closer to the practice behind the SINA Framework.
With more time in one place, you begin to see what a short visit misses. How responsibility is actually carried. How decisions are made. Where tensions show up. How people learn from mistakes. How social enterprises grow out of the Community rather than beside it.
SINA is not neat from the inside. People disagree. Mistakes cost money. Roles are sometimes dropped. Social enterprises fail. Communities have to work things out. That is where much of the learning happens.
The journey also takes you through Uganda itself, with time at Murchison Falls National Park along the way. Gorilla tracking can be added as an optional extension at the end.
DEEP DIVE is for people who want less movement between places and more time inside SINA itself.
CUSTOM

Start with the question your team cannot answer from the office.
Maybe your organisation talks about local ownership, but the important decisions still sit somewhere else. Maybe you want people to take more responsibility, but find it difficult to let go. Maybe you are questioning how you teach, fund, lead or organize.
Or maybe you are at a point in your own life where you want time away from the usual routine, while still meeting people, seeing SINA from the inside and experiencing a different part of the world.
CUSTOM starts there.
We build the journey around the question or need you bring. That can shape which SINA Communities (and also which countries) you spend time in, who you meet, which social enterprises you explore, how long you stay and where we create space to reflect together.
The aim is to put your question next to a very different lived reality and see what becomes visible.
Depending on the journey, it can National Parks, gorilla tracking, Zanzibar, or other touristic highlights as well.
CUSTOM is for teams or individuals who do not just want to understand SINA, but want to use the experience to rethink something real in their own work or life.
