SINA and Etienne Salborn in the New Vision Easter Special

On Easter 2014, the German Newspaper “Berliner Morgenpost” published an article about the story of Etienne Salborn and how he started supporting orphans in Uganda in 2006 as a volunteer, which led to the creation of a sponsorship program to attain secondary education and the founding of SINA. The article said, “Etienne Salborn wants to give youth in Uganda opportunities..”, today on Easter, nine years later, Ugandan newspaper “New Vision” published a short article about how the youth “have become social entrepreneurs.” A lot has happened over the past nine years, achieving much more than initially ever thought about due to the self-organized nature of SINA and all members having ownership and stewarding SINA towards a global movement, with currently 9 SINAs existing in four countries and new ones being created by youth replicating the innovative SINA Framework in 2023.
