Kyaffe farmers a SINA born project has organised its first annual event, The Farmers Marathon, which will take place on the 23rd of November 2019 starting at Mpigi recreation ground. The theme this year is to alleviate hunger in our community. The profit from the race will go towards purchasing a brand-new tractor that can support farmers within seven villages of Buwama Town council. These villages include Nyondo, Kabila, Bumbo, among others. This machinery will reduce the expenses that farmers typically pay to utilize such equipment, while also reducing their workload. In return, we expect an increase in food production and food security in local communities. Their goal is to raise 95 million Ugandan shillings. Therefore, you choosing to participate is our very first step to the goal.
