The Westerwelle Foundation from Germany created the Young Founders Programme (YFP) to take 25 founders from Asia, Africa, and LatAm through a 6-month fellowship with mentorship, expert workshops, peer learning, and networking and a 5-day conference in Berlin. We were excited to see Catherine Nakayemba selected for the spring cohort 2022 with SafeGirl, which are reusable sanitary pads from our SINA startup “Gejja Women Foundation” and Juliet Namujju with “Kimuli Fashionability” for the current fall cohort 2022. Congratulations to both! In 2016, Etienne Salborn also went through the Young Founders Programme with SINA (Social Innovation Academy) and was later sponsored by the Westerwelle Foundation to represent SINA at the WISE Summit in Doha, Qatar, in 2017.
