The Gejja Women Foundation is advancing opportunities for women and girls in rural Uganda by empowering marginalized women and girls to become economically independent, strong and self-determined leaders of change. As an NGO Gejja focuses on economic-, educational- and social empowerment as a fundamental driver for change and has three main projects:
1. "Safe Girl" - safe and comfortable menstruation through the production of re-usable sanitary pads
2. Creating business opportunities for rural women through the "Gejja Women Center"
3. Practicing permaculture for increased financial independence of rural women
