In Kinshasa, 1152 cases of accidents were recorded, causing more than 400 deaths in 2020, according to the National Road Prevention Commission (CNPR). Many are rendered by the lack of professionalism of Taxi-Moto cyclists. Moreover, many taxi motorcyclists are involved in delinquency, consuming more alcohol drugs, which affects their mental state on the road. Therefore, they do not prosper in their profession. As a solution, Safe Wewa strengthens the professionalism of taxi-motorcyclists by raising awareness and training them in the profession of motorcycle-taxi driver to reduce the rate of road accidents to zero and help them build sustainable incomes.
