Vital Care Connect

Since a large number of rural women give birth at home without medical support and often without appropriate tools and items, Vital Care Connect reduces the maternal and infant mortality in the rural and underserved communities of Uganda by producing birth kits and offering mobile antenatal services with motorcycles. Kits are sold to hospitals, pharmacies and pregnant mothers and 40% of profits are cross-subsidizing birth kits to teenage refugee mothers, who otherwise cannot afford them.
