We are excited to be among the 2022 Award Winners of the Tony Hsieh Award. Tony was the inspirational founder of Zappos, which became one of the biggest holacratic organizations worldwide with many progressive and “more human” organizational elements. After his passing, the award recognizes purpose-driven organizations which are transforming the quality of work and life to allow members to maximize their fullest potential.
The winners were announced at the inaugural Master of Scale Summit in San Francisco on 20th October by best-selling author and entrepreneur Keith Ferrazzi.
We want to dedicate the award to all our (about 600) SINA members in all our SINAs. Congratulations to us all! Self-organization and “freesponsibility” is not just a way to govern SINA but also the “curriculum” for our scholars from disadvantaged backgrounds to unleash their potential and become changemaker-makers and social entrepreneurs.
Congratulations to the other four inspiring award winners:
– Vertical Harvest
– Human Bees
– Drew Houston (CEO of Dropbox)
– Dylan Beynon (Founder and CEO at mindbloom)
We were asked to make a 2-3 minute video introducing SINA and I decided just to ask people we saw on the SINA Mpigi compound a few questions. Here is the result:
