Responsible Innovation Summit (10 Oct. 2017 in Dublin, Ireland)
The summit is bringing innovation, social, and environmental factors under one roof to generate positive real life changes. Leading thinkers share ideas on critical issues and Philipp Mäntele is an official speaker at the summit introducing SINA as a case study for successful responsible innovation.
OEES Open Eyes Economy Summit (14 – 15 Nov. 2017 in Krakow, Poland)
The new economy does not ignore profit; however, it shows that, in fact, it is achievable only together with culture, development, innovation, ecology, fair play and trust. A fresh insight into business with due consideration of values. Stella Nakawuki Lukwago will officially present SINA at the summit to demonstrate how purpose and profit can successfully go together.
Annual Meeting of the IMF and World Bank Group (10 – 11 Oct. 2017 in Washington D.C., USA)
SINA Startup Gifted Hands Network won the Second Place of the 2017 Ideas for Action Competition out of 743 proposals from 118 countries. SINA scholar Andrew Mukose will present the Gifted Hands Network at the World Bank Group–International Monetary Fund Annual Meetings in October 2017 in Washington, D.C., as well as receiving training and support by the Wharton School.
Education Exhibition Week at Uganda Parliament (24 – 26 Oct 2017 in Kampala, Uganda)
SINA has been chosen among 14 Ugandan organizations engaged in skills development and entrepreneurship education to showcase and discuss successes of its model for youth empowerment and job creation in Uganda with the Members of Parliament.
The African Union is inviting to this conference. It is showcasing good practices of programmes, projects and institutions across Africa, where youth capacity development and employment creation efforts have been undertaken successfully. SINA was invited to showcase its educational model bringing the gap between skills development, employment creation and education.
The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), (14 – 16 Nov 2017 in Doha, Qatar)
SINA was also invited to the WISE Conference and Etienne Salborn sponsored through the Westerwelle Foundation to attend. WISE is uniting over 1,500 experts, researchers, and innovators from multiple sectors worldwide to foster new collaborations and develop solutions with the goal of inspiring creative changes in education.
Good Festival (17 – 21 Oct. 2017 in Lausanne, Switzerland)
As last year‘s winner of the Good100 Award, SINA was invited to attend the world’s biggest celebration on sustainable innovation again, this time in direction of mentoring.
