Daniel Baraka from our SINA Community in Kinshasa (Congo Innovation Academy) and Johnmary Kavuma from Upcycle Africa were both invited and met at the Mandela Washington Fellowship Summit, which took place from July 31 to August 2, 2023 in Washington DC. The event brought together selected fellows and professionals from businesses and organizations interested in Africa. During the Summit, there was high-level sessions and workshops focusing on policy, economic issues, and future collaborations. The event also includes an expo showcasing innovative work in Africa and explore opportunities for collaboration. Additionally, selected Fellows delivered Ignite Talks and announced the winner of the 2023 Leadership Impact Award.
