2024 marks ten years of SINA communities transforming challenges into opportunities. What began in Uganda has become a growing movement across Africa: youth-led, self-organized communities where those from marginalized backgrounds—often refugees—become social entrepreneurs and changemaker-makers.
In our 2024 report, you’ll see how the lives of our beneficiaries (scholars) are deeply transformed and how their over 100 social enterprises are solving challenges for the society and the environment, while creating dignified livelihoods lifting the disadvantaged youth out of poverty. Each story is a testament to what’s possible when young people are trusted with “freesponsibility” to become the change they wish to see in the world.
We celebrate the steps we’ve taken together and share our vision to co-create 1,000 SINAs and 100,000 social enterprises by 2035.
