The first Bamboo Summit kicked off at the SINA Community of “Jangu International” in Mpigi. After successfully constructing a building out of bamboo to demonstrate sustainable construction and endless possibilities with bamboo as a fast-growing and regenerative resource, we wanted to take it further and bring together all the stakeholders around bamboo for a four-day summit for joint efforts and systemic impact.
The first two days have been a huge success! We were captivated by valuable insights into sustainable bamboo farming and the exciting opportunities and challenges within the bamboo industry. Attendees left feeling empowered and motivated to drive sustainable and regenerative bamboo farming practices forward. Participants also had a blast exploring various techniques and materials, creating stunning bamboo products.
