In 1960, when the DRC gained independence from Belgium the city of Kinshasa had less than half a million inhabitants. Today, it is the largest city on the African continent with an estimated 17 Million people and growing daily. This poses huge challenges but also immense opportunities.
SINA Founder Etienne Salborn and members from the SINA Communities in DRC (SENTA and CINA) are attending the DRC Social Innovation Summit. Etienne will be sharing insights on two panels on how social entrepreneurship in the hands of the youth can transform challenges into opportunities and CINA will exhibit innovative products from SINA social enterprises and the how the SINA model works and what potential it holds.
